One last step

Agree to the terms & conditions

Entry fees are non-refundable. If you register and don't show up on the day, your money will not be refunded.

  1. 1. Registration & payment

Your registration is confirmed only after the organisers verify your payment. Pay only to the UPI ID shown on this website. Entering an incorrect, duplicate or fake UTR / screenshot will lead to cancellation without refund.

  2. 2. No-show = no refund

If you register and do not show up on the tournament day, your entry fee is non-refundable — whatever the reason.

  3. 3. Refunds & transfers

Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. If the event is cancelled by the organisers, the full entry fee will be refunded to the original payment account within 7 working days.

  4. 4. Reporting time

Reporting & verification is from 10:00 to 10:30 AM at the venue — bring a valid photo ID (Aadhaar, school ID or passport). Round 1 starts sharp at 10:30 AM. A player who is more than 15 minutes late for any round forfeits that game.

  5. 5. Laws of chess

The tournament is played under the FIDE Laws of Chess. The Chief Arbiter's decision on any matter is final and binding.

  6. 6. Electronic devices & fair play

Mobile phones and smart devices must be switched off and kept away from the playing area. A device ringing or being used during play results in loss of the game. Any form of outside assistance leads to disqualification.

  7. 7. Age categories

Age category eligibility is based on date of birth as per the category rules. Proof of age may be requested. Misrepresentation leads to disqualification and forfeiture of prizes.

  8. 8. Minors

Players under 18 must have the consent of a parent or guardian, whose name is provided during registration. Players under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

  9. 9. Prizes

Prizes are not shared. A player is eligible for only one prize — the higher one. Ties are broken using tie-break rules announced by the Chief Arbiter before Round 1. Cash prizes are paid by bank / UPI transfer to the winner or their guardian.

  10. 10. Changes to the event

The organisers may change the schedule, format, number of rounds, prize structure or venue if needed. Changes will be communicated by email or WhatsApp.

  11. 11. Conduct & venue

Players and guests must behave respectfully towards opponents, arbiters, volunteers and venue staff. Food and beverages at the venue are at your own cost unless stated otherwise. The organisers may remove anyone who disrupts the event.

  12. 12. Liability

Players attend at their own risk. The organisers and venue partner are not responsible for loss of personal belongings, injury or illness during the event.

  13. 13. Photos & media

Photos and videos taken at the event may be used by E4 Chess Club and its partners for promotion. Tell an organiser at check-in if you do not want to appear in published media.

  14. 14. Your data

Your details are used only to run the tournament, publish pairings and results, and contact you about E4 Chess Club events. We never sell your data. Email us to have your data deleted.

  15. 15. Jurisdiction

By registering you accept these terms. Any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Gautam Buddh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh.

By tapping “I agree” you confirm your details are correct and, for a minor, that you are the parent / guardian.

FAQ

Good questions

When is my registration confirmed?

As soon as we match your UTR with our payment records — usually within a few hours. You'll get a confirmation email with your entry pass.

I paid but the form didn't submit. What now?

Just fill the form again with the same UTR. If it says the UTR is already used, your registration went through — check your email (and spam folder).

Do I need a FIDE rating?

No. Unrated players are welcome in every category.

Should I bring my own board and clock?

No, we provide boards, pieces and clocks. You're welcome to bring your own pen and scoresheet clipboard.

Can a parent stay with young players?

Yes. Parents can wait in the spectator area but cannot stand near the boards during play.
